London the third

Museum visiting and sustainable tourism places discovering third time in London went pretty well.
I missed the conference because of the plane delay, but I witnessed so many wonderful things:

Natural history museum: the colonial power of Great Britain accumulated this vast treasure from all the corners of the world. The Natural History Museum is a beautiful enormous place and worth the visit:

This is it from the outside, from the inside, it unravels beauties like dinasours' skeletons, stuffed animals, evolution proofs, etc.

When on the inside, you pass through the simulated core of the earth to the volcano and earthquake exhibition. Beautiful and scary.

There is a whole collection of all existing hummingbirds and with a lovely display:

And, of course the dinosaur waving goodbye at the exit:

The science museum is just next door drom the Natural history museum:

and the beautiful Da Vinci exhibition:

The cosmonaut exhibition  where the first rockets that went to space are displayed:

and guess what this is:

The Lajka pod:

It was short, but sweet unexpected visit to London.

:)

The music of Marrakesh

The main minaret; pink and green colors that dominate the whole city

Taking the bus through the peaks and slopes of High Atlas was simply amazing.

Coming to Marrakesh, and being prepared with the advice from wikitravel, we had to face the taxi drivers. Not to mention it was 36 degrees Celsius and the asphalt was burning. Strangely enough, most of the people were wearing jackets and winter shoes.

So, here we witnessed taxi drivers being more aggressive than anywhere else (but still, it was too hot to look for another one and negotiate on the burning asfalt). They shout at you for giving them more, and it is impossible to get them to turn on the taxi meter. They pretend they don’t hear. Since everything is so close there, I would suggest walking. And the other benefit is that you experience so much more while roaming the streets then simply taking the taxi and arriving to your hotel or riad. On the way you can see some of the fine restaurants you can wine and dine at (well wine part not so much, while there isn't a place serving alcohol almost anywhere). Oh, and the desserts, indescribably amazing.

Marrakesh has lots more restaurants than any other city

Marrakesh is amazing:

Biggest street in Marrakesh, filled with hotels, spa- hammams, operas, thater

The main tourist attraction square, noisy, colorful, comes alive in the evening time

And so we ended our Marrocan experience, we took the train to Casablanca (before the flight we took a walk through the streets of Casablanca for the last time)

Switzerland

Hello, Switzerland.

The nature in this beautiful country amazes me. It solely represents the inner tranquility and beauty.

At Ouchy, part of the city of Laussane you can find a lot of sail boats. Practically, every family owns a sailboat or a motorboat and the popular way to spend their spare time is to pull up the anchor and sail the beautiful Lake of Geneva throughout to France.

This is usually done during weekends, because Switzerland working hours take up most of the working day (people are known to work up to 12 hours of week) in every branche.

Yes, wealth is seen at every pace of the way, bit behind that wealth stand a strong system and long working hours.

The cars.
That's a whole different topic for this country. Maybe it is because I come from a country where most of the Jag's, Porches and other beauties are usually driven by spoiled rich sons and daughters woth no actual purpose of being, here there is a lot of people with a lovely car in a garage, and a huge charity donor and don't report to the news papers about their samatarianism.

This country is full of CHIC people. :)

More in my next posts.
